Bombardier Global 6000

The Bombardier Global 6000 is a twin turbo engine (powered by BMW - Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20) large cabin aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace. This is slightly larger than the shorter range Global 5000, The Global 6000 offers higher cruise speed, increased range, improved cabin layout and lighting. The passenger capacity of this aircraft is 4 crew (2 flight crew and 2 cabin crew) and 13 passengers. This has a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (487 kn / 902 km/h), and a top speed of Mach 0.89The range of this aircraft is 11,112 km (6,000 nm).


The Global 6000 entered service in early 2012. Bombardier claims it takes 15 minutes less to fuel the Global 6000 than the original model thanks to improved computer systems and mechanical refinements.


The Global 6000 in these pictures were spotted at Colombo Airport, Rathmalana, Sri Lanka and is registered as T7-RSP (private operator).

Cessna 152

Cessna 152 is a single engine (Lycoming O-235) light, general aviation aircraft manufactured by Cessna (American). This is a upgraded variant of the Cessna 150. Upgraded features such as slightly more powerful engine running on 100LL aviation gasoline and some some minor design changes. The passenger capacity of this aircraft is 1 flight crew and 1 passenger (2 seating capacity). The landing gear configuration of this aircraft is a fixed tricycle gear. This has a cruising speed of 198 km/h (107 knots), and a maximum speed of 204 km/h (110 knots). The range of this aircraft is 768 km (414 nm).
This aircraft is primarily used for flight training and personal use.

The Cessna 152 has been out of production for more than thirty years, but there are still a large number of aircraft in flying condition. Due to the aircraft's durability many examples have flown more than 15,000 hours and over 60,000 landings and are still in regular use for flight training.

In the above picture, there are 2 Cessna 152s which are currently operating in Sri Lanka owned by Millennium Airlines and is registered as 4R-DOM (blue color aircraft) and 4R-DRA (red color aircraft).

Airbus EC130


Airbus EC130 T2 is a single engine (Turbomeca Arriel 2d turboshaft) light utility helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. This is the upgraded variant of the Airbus EC130 B4. Upgraded features such as air conditioning, a more powerful engine and increased performance. The passenger capacity of this helicopter is 1 flight crew (pilot in the left seat) and 6 passengers (2 at front and 4 at back). This has a cruising speed of 240 km/h (130 knots), and a never exceeding speed of 287 km/h (155 knots). The range of this helicopter is 610 km (329 nm).



The Airbus EC130 T2 which is currently operating in Sri Lanka is owned by Daya Aviation and is registered as 4R-DAC.
